For the past few years, Big Book of Buildings has operated primarily as a shop for building-themed coffee table books, calendars, and prints. Now we are expanding in a new way.
Our catalog now includes thousands of photographs of buildings, bridges, train stations, and airports from more than 35 countries — from San Francisco to Karachi, Lisbon to Kathmandu, Accra to Oaxaca. These photographs are beautiful, and they are also technically interesting to architects, engineers, and other professionals who need more than a good façade. That is why we are making the collection available for licensing, with technical metadata attached to each image: location and era, building type and primary use, the architect and the engineer of record where known, the structural system, and notes on seismic relevance and historical context.
